I've had this listed under the "possibly best show ever" category for years now. Truly, it was an epic night. Locals Zooey and The Miracle Youth played their sets well. City of Catepillar were brand new to me. They were wild and their style was as loud as their music. The bass player had to wear those glasses things you put on so they don't fall off- like you use when whitewater rafting. He needed them! That guy was tearing up. I was already a huge Planes Mistaken For Stars fan. I'd say 'Knifeinthemarathon' is easily one of my all-time favorite CDs, even if it's just an EP. Planes were a heavy-hitters, tough live and tough on record. They would later go onto No Idea Records. I remember driving home after the show my 1980 Toyota Corolla engine finally blew up.
