Sapphire Supper Club - Orlando, Florida

Sapphire advertised doors open at eight. I showed up at nine and there was a long line outside and they were not letting anyone in. Typical of this lackidasial club. Souviner was sloppy but could sound almost decent if they played together and in the same tune. Joe Pop, from Tampa, is a fast. energetic pop punk trio. They look so funny. All three of them are "heavy" and have the same haircut, cut to the skin. They played a fast, well played set but I just don't like that fast punk.

Jaxbox was amazing. I haven't heard all the stuff since Grippe, which I played along with using my brothers bass guitar back in the day. Such lovely bass lines that record had! When did that record come out? Anyhow WPRK plays Jawbox with frequency so I heard most of the new record, including that rad Tori Amos cover. I am impressed to how well they play together. They are truly a great rock and roll band.
