Our day begins at Daytona Beach. It was pretty much a perfect day at the beach. There was a tropical storm on the way so the waves were pretty high and made wave jumping pretty intense. Jeffrey even lost one of the temples to his sunglasses. Bummer! Kristin took the panorama at the top of this page. Jeffrey took everything else.

Sitting over to the boardwalk.

I was pretty disappointed that most of the arcade games were not in operation at the Mardi Gras Fun Center. Neither pinball machines were working either. WHAT THE HECK!!!! They have a Whitewater pinball machine that I MUST PLAY. We played the Marvel vs Capcom 2, of course. There was skee ball for 25 cents! The other arcade had...... nothing but a broken Tetris arcade. Ugh!

Having corn dogs and onion rings at the Mardi Gras Fun Center.

Jeffrey!

Kristin is having fun, we swear! We also went to the RV show across the street at The Ocean Center. We only looked at a few because if you've ever been to a RV show----- then you know---- it's more work that a workout. We couldn't tire ourselves before playing a show later in the night at The Junkyard in DeLeon Springs, which is about 20 minutes from Daytona just north of Deland.
After doing some thrifting we headed over to The Junkyard, literally arriving moments before the first band went on. We had such good timing. We've never played at The Junkyard before. It's a pretty rickety building with tons of Misfits, comic book and punk rock memorabilia- complete with a stuff rattlesnake on top a piano. The stage is outside with a backdrop of hubcaps and gas station signs. It's pretty awesome. I've only seen pictures beforehand but seeing it in person is pretty awesome. Towards the back they made couches/viewing areas inside old cars and trucks! Mind blown!

We set up our merch behind the couch-converted Gremlin. Yes, it is that awesome.

Jeffrey and Kristin inside The Junkyard.

The first of three Gainesville band was The Ones To Blame. These cussing boy-loving gals were great.

dblWiDE, also from Gainesville, play loud rockabilly influenced rock and roll.

Another dblWiDE. I'm not sure how I feel about this filter.

The Dirty Lowdowns in mirror view. I am loving this filter! These guys play loud punk.

Billy from The Dirty Lowdowns.

The Dirty Lowdowns raise a toast to rock and roll.

The Damned Thing were also pretty loud. They had all kinds of dancers including one dude wearing a motorcycle helmet. No doubt ready for a pit ---- a barbeque pit!

The Damned Thing facing the music, so to speak.

I think we played too loud because my ears hurt and I've lost my voice from screaming because I couldn't hear myself sing. We must have either been totally awesome or cleared the room.

The have a rusted out cigarette machine with four packs of old cigarettes in the display. Now what I want to know if those are real and if there are cigarettes in them. Would you want to smoke them?

Hot Hands are now Sunburned Hands.
Just kidding!
